8 Awesome Font Pairing Tools

In this post i have collected 8 awesome tools created for designers, developers and typographers that can help you find perfect font pairing.

Type Genius

Type Genius is a free website to find the perfect font for your own website or project. You can first choose a font (say starter font) and then it will automatically find the font that will best suit with the starter font.



Typ.io is a great website for finding new fonts for your projects. Fonts are tagged with related words and the site will help you pair complimentary fonts together.


Web Font Blender

Web Font Blender is a little tool to check out cool web font combinations.



Type Wolf is a collection of beautiful type sampled from the web, with a list of the fonts used and a link to the sampled site.



Typespiration is a curated site of designer-contributed examples each displaying a page of sample text, a list of what fonts and colors were used, and CSS code for cutting/pasting into your own site.


Beautiful web type

There are over 600 typefaces in the Google web fonts directory. Many of them are awful. But there are also high-quality typefaces that deserve a closer look. Here are examples of these typefaces in action.

A collection of font pairings from Typekit and H&FJ.


Google Type

There are over 650 Google Fonts available for free. But, pairing typefaces isn’t easy and many of those fonts don’t work for typical websites. Part of the 25×52 initiative, this collaborative, ongoing project offers inspiration for using Google’s font library.
